Activity

Progress South Central was a partnership of universities and colleges working to develop and support progression for vocational students into and through higher education.

The core partners were the University of Reading, Bucks New University, the University of Surrey and Oxford Brookes University and their partner colleges (see here for a complete list of our partner institutions).

Our work was focused on the following employment sectors:

• Construction
• Land-based industries
• Health and Social Care
• Creative industries

In addition, work was undertaken across all sectors on:

• Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG)
• 14-19 Diplomas
• Progression to HE for Apprentices
• Employer engagement
• Staff development
• Best practice in work-based learning
• Research

The priority was to respond to the needs of current and potential students, and to work with employers to develop higher level learning opportunities for the future.
