What We Do

Progress South Central is a partnership of universities and colleges working to develop and support progression for vocational students into and through higher education.

Our core partners are the University of Reading, Buckinghamshire New University, the University of Surrey and Oxford Brookes University and their partner colleges.

Our work is focused on the following employment sectors:

• Health and Social Care
• Creative Industries

In addition, we are working across all sectors on:

• Employer engagement
• Information, Advice and Guidance
• Staff development
• Best practice in work based learning
• Research into demand
• Evidence of what works
• 14-19 Diplomas
• Progression to higher education for Apprentices

Our priority is to respond to the needs of current and potential students, and to work with employers to develop higher level learning oppertunities for now and the future.
