  • 14-19 Diplomas

    The availability of progression opportunities for 14-19 Diploma learners into higher education will be essential for learners and will play a crucial role in the Diplomas' success.

  • Apprenticeships

    Progress South Central developed an action plan of activity designed to support progression for Apprentices to HE.

  • Construction and the Built Environment

    Progress South Central played an instrumental role in the Construction and the Built Environment sector within its region.

  • Creative industries

    Progress South Central worked closely with its partners to support a variety of activities aimed at enhancing opportunities for prospective creative industries learners in the LLN region.

  • Employer engagement

    We involved professional bodies and business-related organisations in much of our work. These included Sector Skills Councils, Education Business Partnerships, Employment and Skills Boards and also Business Link and Chambers of Commerce.

  • Health and Social Care

    The Health and Social Care sector spans a broad range of professions, disciplines and employment sectors, each with its own unique challenges.

  • IAG

    Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) was a cross-sector area of work for Progress South Central.

  • Land-based industries

    The LLN's work in the land-based sector was led by the School of Agriculture and Policy Development at the University of Reading and included events for FE staff and students, the signing of a number of progression agreements and the development of online tools and resources.

  • Research

    Progress South Central both funded and undertook a range of research projects. These were seen as a way of providing foundations for the long-term impact of the work of the LLN.

  • Staff development

    This was a critical area of work for the LLN in terms of sustainability. It was recognised that work in this area had the potential to produce long-term results through impact on individuals and culture change in partner and stakeholder organisations.
