PROJECT SUMMARY
Bucks New University wish to create a partnership between employers, FE and HE to deliver flexible vocational learning for students at level 4 within a flexible Foundation Degree framework that is linked to the needs of employers, changing roles and, where possible, the Higher Apprenticeship framework. This would create progression routes for students both at level 3 and provide rigorous learning and practice assessment to enable employers in Health and Social Care to recruit a wide range of staff to fit new roles.
Progress South Central provided funding to consult with key statutory voluntary and private sector organisations of strategic importance within the Buckinghamshire and Hillingdon area in the following sectors: Early Years; Children and Young People; Adult Social Care; Community Development; Primary and Secondary health care and FE colleges/adult education providers involved to ascertain their perspectives on how progression can be maximised through the academy and the way in which vocational learning can be enhanced.
